Overview & Setup
The Program Widget is a centralized dashboard block that displays all programs assigned to a user. It acts as a "Learning Hub" where users can view:
- Assigned Programs: Names, descriptions, and total required credits.
- Course Sets & Courses: Specific modules within each program.
- Class Details: Active Course Instances, instructor names, and availability status.
Follow these steps to enable the widget for your users:
- On the new block, click the Three-dot menu (⋮) and select Configure Learnexify Dashboard block.
- Then from the configure Learnexify block, select Program Widget, Click Save changes.
Widget Configuration & Display Settings
To configure this program widget, go to Side Menu > Admin > Widgets > Program Widget.
On the program widget page, you will see the following configuration options:
-
Sync User’s Grades: When enabled, student grades are recalculated in the background every time the dashboard loads. This ensures the progress bar always reflects the most recent academic data.
Progress Bar:
The progress bar provides a graphical representation of the learner's completion status.
- Enabled: Toggle the progress bar on or off.
- Color Stages: You can customize the colors based on three completion tiers to match your institution's branding:
-
-
0%–49%: Initial progress (Default: Red).
-
50%–79%: Mid-way progress (Default: Yellow).
-
80%–100%: Near completion/Success (Default: Green).

Field Visibility & Filter Options
Learnexify offers granular control over what information is shown at each level of the academic hierarchy. For every field, you can choose one of four states:
- Visible: Always shown.
- Hide: Always hidden.
- Default: Follows system backend settings.
- Lock: Hidden and restricted from being changed by Learners.
Filter Value: Pre-fills a search box (e.g., type "DGD-001" into a Program ID filter value to force the widget to only show that program by default).
These options control whether a search box appears on the dashboard and if the user can change the results:
- Visible / Hide: Shows or hides the data. Note: End users will not have a search filter for these fields.
- Default: Pre-fills the search box with your chosen "Filter Value." Users can delete or change this value to search for something else.
- Lock: Pre-fills the search box and freezes it. Users cannot change the value; they can only see the results you have pre-defined here.
These fields appear across all sections of the Program Widget configuration (Program, Course Set, Course Description, and Course Instance). They control what data is shown on the dashboard and how the search filters behave.
